Benefits Administrator Main Duties : Manage and record the receipt of all employee benefit new hires documents, leaves of absence, terminations, transfers, etc. for all relevant benefits. Monitor LOA deductions and communicate delinquent employees to Benefits Manager Process all returned mail including Cobra returned. Process life conversion letters for termed employees and pull employee’s personnel and 401k files. Run reports weekly and input contributions and loan changes for 401k, Roth and Pension Plans, to include the processing of in-service withdrawals, rollovers, etc. on a weekly basis; and make payroll adjustments as needed. Process Ben 14 and Aflac files weekly and make necessary adjustments. Distribute all Aflac and MassMutual refund checks back to employee. Run reports as requested for census’s and reports for informational purposes. Put together benefit packets for employees and maintain supply. Maintain Employee’s Benefit Files. Assist in orientations for employees. Manage the sent and receipt of EOI’s for approval/denials and update Health & Welfare Basic office duties including filing, faxing, copying, scanning, mailing packages via UPS, preparing mass mailings, etc. Provide back up support to the switchboard operation. Additional Duties : Assist with Annual Enrollment process Understand the role of the Benefits Manager and assist with administrative tasks in that role Various projects related to the Human Resources Department Competencies : Ability to reprioritize and rearrange workload frequently Strong computer skills, including Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Good organization skills and willingness to review and improve processes to increase efficiency Strong interpersonal skills, especially by telephone Good communication skills, both written and verbal Solid knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment We are an EEO employer Minimum experience or requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus; relevant work experience will be considered. CEBS or PHR preferred, especially with knowledge of PPACA/HCR.
