Position Title: Job Number: E-700-01 Reports To: CEO Department: Sales Location: All FLSA Status: Exempt Last Updated (Date): Job Summary The Sr. VP of Sales will be responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement. Manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth Manage the use of budgets Define optimal sales force structure Hire and develop sales staff Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships. Manage the daily functions of the Sales department while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods and personnel. Work with upper management to develop goals and communicate established goals with department. Ensure the goals and needs of the department, company and its customers are consistently met. Oversee the quality of the work performed by team and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner. Prioritize and delegate workload as necessary and align resources to work assignments and processes to meet business requirements. Provide leadership and direction and assist in the investigation and resolution of internal and external problems and concerns. Coordinate and/or deliver training and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and deadlines. Oversee OR assist with personnel actions, such as new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, or disciplinary measures. Manage the Performance Evaluation process of assigned unit and provide leadership, counseling and coaching to employees. Maintain harmonious employee/employer relations. Maintain awareness of changes in rules, statutes or regulations and communicate changes to staff. Direct training of staff when new procedures are required to comply with changes. Develop and/or ensure conformance with Standard Operating Procedures and maintain existing procedures. Review processes and ensure they are in compliance with current statute and make recommendations as necessary to streamline processes. Manage the communication and compliance of SOP’s within teams. Participate in year-end budget process as it relates to assigned area of responsibility and ensure department expenses are maintained within budget. Additional Duties & Responsibilities Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures while performing the work. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management. Perform or assist with any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow and meet schedules. Supervisory Responsibility Directly or indirectly supervise a team within the Sales department. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university, and at least 10 years of related experience in Sales or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies Excellent management skills including planning, organizing, decision making, motivating and leading with a high degree of interpersonal skills Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet design and maintenance, navigating in databases, and creating presentations Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and provide guidance to all employee levels. Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work well under pressure Requires detail orientation and attention Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently. Must be able to work extended hours and weekends/holidays as needed to meet deadlines. Tools & Equipment Used Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment. Physical Requirements & Working Environment This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk, occasionally climb and lift up to 20 lbs.
